Little Red Hen JewelryLittle Chick Jewelry and Julia's Happy Bead

Welcome

Little Red Hen Jewelry is a group of two native Bucks County artists: Marie Shaw (Mom hen) and her daughter, Lidie Shaw. The family moved to their Haycock homestead in 1980, where with Brett (alias Mr. Rooster) Shaw’s experience and artistic abilities, the family created Rocky Bottom Farm from very humble beginnings. Humorously, their first house on the property was a converted old chicken coop. The natural beauty of Haycock and the entire family’s close association to their land shows through in the names of the pieces and the palette of colors used.

Marie started making jewelry for friends going through rough times. Her first necklace was a spiritually inspired piece for a friend undergoing cancer treatments. This sentiment of care and support for others is a cornerstone of the business, with 10% of profits donated to charity.

The artists create wearable art of women of all ages, including a specialized line called “Little Chick” which features Grow-With-Me jewelry for young and growing girls.
